Inclusive Design Research

Your questions, answered

Is Human Design scientifically proven?

No. Human Design is a self-reflection framework, not a scientifically validated system — it combines ideas from astrology, the I Ching, the chakra system and Kabbalah, and has no peer-reviewed evidence behind its claims. Many people still find it a useful language for self-reflection, the same way they might a personality framework, as long as it isn't mistaken for science, medicine or psychology.

What are the five Human Design types?

The five types are Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, Manifestor and Reflector — each describes a different way of engaging with energy and decisions, according to the framework; they are self-reported categories, not clinical or diagnostic labels.

What does "strategy and authority" mean?

Strategy is the general approach a type is said to use to engage with life (for example, waiting to respond), and authority is the decision-making process the framework assigns to your chart — together they're presented as a way to practice decisions, not a guarantee of better outcomes.

How is Human Design different from astrology?

Human Design uses birth data like astrology does, but layers in the I Ching, the chakra system and Kabbalah to produce a BodyGraph with types, centers, gates and channels — it's a newer, synthesized framework, not a long-studied astrological tradition, and neither is scientifically validated.

Can Human Design replace therapy or somatic work?

No. Human Design is a self-reflection framework, not a treatment, diagnosis or substitute for licensed mental health or somatic care — this site exists specifically to connect people exploring their chart with real licensed support at Somatic Experiences and Therapists.plus.

How do I find a Human Design guide?

Guides and practitioners can list for free in our directory; browse by specialty and request contact directly from a guide's profile.

Is this site affiliated with a specific Human Design school?

No. We describe Human Design in general, widely-used terms rather than any single teacher's proprietary system, and we don't claim authority over which interpretation is "correct."
